The family of Oluseye of Ilupeju Oke-Odo Gbagura, Abeokuta Ogun State has dragged Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and six others before the State High Court requesting it to nullify the appointment of the Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo ,Saheed Balogun .
The claimants, Prince Monsuru Oluseye, Prince Sulaimon Oluseye and Prince Gbolahan Oluseye in a writ of summons, dated October, 8 also asked the court to set aside the chieftaincy declaration of Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Gbagura.
Joined in the case is the Agura of Gbaguraland, Oba Saburee Bakre, the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Egba Traditional Council and the embattled Olu of Ilupeju Oke-Odo.
The claimants also prayed the court to set aside the nomination, appointment and approval of Agbaje as the Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo.
They submitted that the selection, nomination and appointment of Agbaje were contrary to the customs and traditions of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Gbagura.
The claimants insisted that upon the demise of the immediate past Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Late Oba Mufutau Akindele, it is the turn of their family to produce the next king.
