The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has berated former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun of still living in ‘illusion of grandeur’.
Abiodun noted that he is the Chief Security Officer of the state, adding that he will not allow breakdown of law in the state.
The governor who was reacting to the violence that broke out on Saturday at the state congress of the All Progressives Congress held by loyalists of Amosun stressed that he is going to go after anyone that undermines the security architecture of the state.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that there was pandemonium at Ake Palace area of Abeokuta in the state on Saturday when some hoodlums stormed the venue of the congress of Amosun’s loyalists and reportedly shot into the air .
But, when the governor who was vividly angry with the action spoke at his factional congress held at MKO stadium, he warned distractors to stay off the state.
In his words, “by the grace of God, I am the only governor of Ogun state today and no other.
“All those who continue to leave in an illusion of grandeur, all those that continue to be deluded, I hope the message is heard loud and clear . I am the Chief Security officer of this state, I will not allow a breakdown of law and order .”
