The Igangan Community Development Association has reacted to an allegation made by an online presenter, Akanda Oro Awikonko, alleging that Honourable Tunji Omolewu, known as Janbele betrayed Igboho.
The presenter alleged that Janbele reportedly connived with operatives of Department of State Service (DSS) to invade the raid of Yoruba Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
Awikonko, also accused Janbele of betraying Igboho by revealing some of his secrets to DSS which raided his Ibadan residence, killing two of his aides and arrested others.
Reacting to the allegation, the Chairman of the Community Association, Honourable Segun Okedeji, faulted the allegations.
He described it as mischievous, callous and wicked lies against Janbele and the entire community.
Okedeji explained that the community will not tolerate any act capable of severe its cordial relationship with Igboho who through his assistance liberated the entire zone from the incessant attacks on farmers and residents by armed Fulani herdsmen.
The Community leader added that the community has undisputed confidence in Janbele, an ally of Igboho for almost three decades without any form of suspicion, that he can ever betrayed him.
The development, according to him, is one of several means by some unscrupulous elements to show Igangan Community as an ingrate.
He also told Awikonko to retract the online publication that allegedly maligned the character of Janbele and the entire Igangan Community and tender public apology to it within the next seven days.
Okedeji warned that failure to do that at the expiration of the deadline issued to Awikonko, the community will not hesitate to take legal actions against him.
