Residents of Obada-Oko in Abeokuta area of Ogun state have reportedly paid the ransom on three of their people abducted by gunmen on Saturday .
A resident who pleaded anonymity told PLATFORM TIMES said the residents have paid a sum of N1. 5milion and some.packs of codeine get the abducted people in the area released .
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that some gunmen had on Saturday stormed the area and kidnapped three persons .
They had reportedly demanded N 10 million ,some.packw of hard drugs and food before the victims could be released from the hook .
The residents reportedly negotiated with the kidnappers and reduced the ransom to N1.5 million with some packs of codeine ,water and food .
Confirming the payment , the source, a resident of the area said the ransom had been paid with the hard drugs .
He said ” the ransom has been paid with Igbo and they are being released ”
Further attempts to get more details of the situation failed as the source declined further comments .
PLATFORM TIMES had reported that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident .
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi had confirmed the abduction of the residents .
