No fewer than 224 people from Ado-Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state are expected to benefit from Hon. Babatunde Ogunola’s empowerment programme.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the beneficiaries which comprises of youths and the aged are drawn from the 116 wards.
Ogunola popularly known as Tomo while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Ota area of the state explained that, the empowerment programme is aimed at alleviating poverty in the society.
Ogunola said, he would be distributing working tools to artisans while equipment like grinding machines, freezers among others would be distributed to women.
He further explained that, he be giving grants to youths abs women to support their small scale businesses.
Ogunola said, “I’ m ready to empower 224 people, from Ado-Odo Ota local government area of Ogun state.
“Sixteen people will be selected from each ward in Ado-Odo Ota. The idea behind the empowerment is to free my people from hunger and to also support their small businesses.”
