The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Dr. Aremu Gbadebo has been honoured with the Award of the “Royal Father of the Year 2021” by the Ogun state Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors.
The award ceremony which took place at the Ake Palace, Ake was to honour the paramount ruler for his contribution to the peace in Egbaland.
Speaking at the award presentation, the ANA State Chairman, Engineer Paul Oni explained that the criteria used for giving the award was based on good leadership and accountability.
Oni noted that Alake has made tremendous impact in the growth and peace enjoyed in Egbaland.
He stressed, “Awards are normally given to people that show themselves as good writers.
“Those we give outside the writing realm are those that have made an impact. Like Kabiyesi now, the peaceful nature of Egbaland under his tenure; the way he has been able to synergize with government and political gladiators was why we choose him as the Royal Father of the Year 2021”.
In his remarks, the Alake while commending the leadership of ANA Ogun State Chapter expressed the need to continue writing things that will impact others.
Awards were also presented to an Egba Chief, Osi of Egbaland, Chief Bode Mustapha and ANA members to appreciate them for a job well done.
