The former chairman, Ifelodun Community Development Association, Abule- Ake,Obada-Oko, Jolaoso Idowu has beaten up his successor, Yusuf Sanusi over N2000 security dues agreed upon by the landlords in the community.
Sanusi disclosed this on Monday in an interview with PLATFORM TIMES correspondent in Abeokuta.
Sanusi explained that he was elected as the chairman of the association in 2018 when he contested against lolaoso who was seeking second term
Sanusi said idowu was voted out due to allerged embezzlement of community funds during his tenure.
He claimed the victory has brought a lot of confrontations with him from the former chairman.
He explained further that due to the insecurity in the community, the landlord’s association decided and agreed to employ security guards to safeguard their community and each house and shop should pay a sum of N2000 on or before November 24, 2021.
He added that the association unanimously decided and agreed that whoever does not pay the money will have his house disconnected from electricity.
Consequently,the electricity supply were cut out.
Sanusi said ” I visited the former chairman’s residence after I was informed about his visit with his boys.
“He and his wife including his boy started shouting at me for cutting off his shop electricity supply which he is aware.
“Before I know it,he had started beating me up. I ran for my safety when I saw his boys coming towards me and immediately went to Obada-oko police division to report the case.
“But to my utmost surprise, I couldn’t get protection nor justice from where i ought to get it.
“The police claimed there was no vehicle available and it was too late to send officers out to arrest anyone. I was told to come the next morning.
“They did that because he often visit them to give them money for food and he is the chairman of the motorcyclist associatio.
“All I want is justice, a criminal should not got scot free,I want justice to be served.”
