Ogun 75 Coronet Obas pledge loyalty to Gov Abiodun’s administration

The 75 Coronet Obas installed by former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has pledged their loyalty to his Successor, Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

PLATFORM TIMES had earlier reported that a State High Court sitting in Abeokuta, the State capital had affirmed the appointment of the Obas following a two year legal battle with the Ogun State Government challenging their removal.

The General Secretary of the coronet Obas who also label themselves as the G75 Obas, Oba Tanimowo Folarin made this known at a press conference in Abeokuta.

Oba Tanimowo said that the coronet Obas are giving his administration their unflinching support and that they are ready to work with this administration.

He pleaded with the Governor to shun any negative news he had heard about them.

The Monarch however appreciated the Governor for allowing the judiciary do their job without interference and for completing projects left behind by the previous administration.

His words” On behalf of the G75 Obas in Ogun State want to appreciate His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for giving the judiciary the free hand during our litigation period.

“The entire G75 Obas also want to pledge our loyalty and our support for the administration of his Excellency, we want to let his Excellency to be aware the are fully prepared and we are ready to serve his Excellency’s administration and to work with him.

“We are giving him our unflinching support and we are ready to work with.

“His Excellency should shun any negative news about us, we are traditional rulers in our various communities in Ogun State and His Excellency is still our number one, we don’t recognize any other person to be our number one citizen in Ogun State apart from him.

“We are glad with the project his Excellency has embarked upon since inception of his government, most especially the completion of the project he met on ground, there are many projects in Ogun State that has not been completed, we are really happy that His Excellency has started working and completed some and up till present he is still working on them, we are very much happy with His Excellency.

“Before now we have been working with His Excellency, most of us if you check our various domain you will discover that we have played a good role, even before now we have been playing a good role, in terms of administering our various domain.

“Pledging our loyalty is just to assure His Excellency that what we have been doing we will continue to do more”.

Tanimowo who is also the Olu of Ipebi in Ijebu Mushin area of the State while responding to the question that what would the monarchs do if their renumeration is not paid as directed by the Court said that” we trust the government to do the right, even before the judgement we have all been eating, any how the government do it, it is fine by us but we know we have a government that respects the law, we don’t envisage anything bad to come out, whatever do for us is fine, the Governor is our father.
