The Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, has disclosed that its mission is to ensure the emergence of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as president of Nigeria come 2023.

This was disclosed by the national chairman of the group Otunba Abayomi Odunowo ahead of the inauguration of the organisation.

Odunowo, a chieftain of the APC made the disclosure while engaging journalists on the plans of his group to garner support for Tinubu for the realisation of his presidential ambition.

According to the former gubernatorial candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, the two term governor of Lagos state has proved to be a dogged political fighter for over four decades championing the cause of the masses at great risk to his safety and well-being.

Odunowo further stated that none of those aspiring to be president across the country whether in the APC or the opposition parties has contributed half of what Tinubu has sacrificed for the enthronement of democracy in the country.

He submitted that having being at the forefront of the struggle to bring bank democracy at the twilight of the 20th century, and having successfully governed Lagos State, the epicenter of commerce in the country, Tinubu will bring back the good old days to the country again.

Odunowo said, “Our mission is to do everything within our power to ensure Asiwaju Tinubu emerges as president at the next general election. It’s well cut out. Not only is he the best candidate, he is the most qualified.

” Two term governor of Lagos state, the commercial centre of the country. His governance blueprint is still being followed and everybody attests to the continuous evolution of the state. Now the National Leader of the APC. He understands what leadership is all about. His involvement has always been about service. He identifies talents and use them in the overall interest of development.

“The democratic governance that we all enjoy today was fought for largely by Tinubu at great risk to his safety in the dark days of the last junta. And of course not to talk of his financial commitment to the struggle.”

” It’s for these reasons and more that our group, is determined to ensure he becomes president. And we are ready. We will knock on every door across this country to ensure that happens.”

The AATSG will be inaugurated on Monday the 13th December at Adeoti Hall, Obalofin Villa, Oba Gbeleruwa Avenue, opposite Ijebu Ode, Stadium, GRA, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. A cocktail and familiarisation of the south west executives of the group will hold at the same venue a day before.

Expected at the event is the grand patron of the group, Iyaloja General, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo,. Also the Iyalaje of Ijebuland, Alhaja Korede Alatishe and Iyaloja of Ijebu Ode, Chief Mrs Kuforiji will attend. Also expected are political leaders across the country including
Alhaji Nasiru Waziri. Mariam Bbangida Wabara, Dr Kenneth Madiebo, Mohammed Bashir, Prince Banire Abdullahi and Elder James Anam.

To also grace the occasion are royal fathers , dignitaries across the country and other well wishers.
