The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has called on traditional rules to brainstorm on ways to addressing the current security challenges.
Governor Ganduje made the call while presenting staff of office to the new Emir of Gaya Emirates, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya at Gaya support complex, in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State.
He congratulated the new Emir and urged him to support Kano State Government’s policies and programs to improve the well-being of the people.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje urged the Emir to use his vast experience in promoting peace and education in his people.
In his speech, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Ab, Abubakar II urged traditional rulers and other political leaders to discharge their assigned responsibilities with dedication and fear of God.
He urged the new Emir to ensure the protection of lives and property in his domain.
In his acceptance speech, the Emir of Gaya, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya promised to carry everyone in his domain along and seek the support of his people.
Dr Gaya urged the people of Gaya Emirates to be law-abiding, vigilante, and to pray for the nation to overcome security challenges in the country.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Government Officials, Traditional Rulers, and other stakeholders.
