No fewer than one hundred sanitation offenders have been arrested and prosecuted by a mobile court in Ilorin, Kwara State.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the offenders were arrested at various locations within the metropolis.
Some of the offenders were fined a minimum of ₦1,000 by the court, while others are to be engaged in cleaning services.
State Commissioner for Environment, Bosede Buraimoh while addressing newsmen , expressed displeasure over violation of sanitation laws and urged residents of the state to shun indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
Mrs Buraimoh advised the people of the state to ensure regular cleaning of their environment to improve their personal hygiene.
