A mentally challenged patient at the Yaba Psychiatric Hospital, Mrs Isioma John has been reported missing.
The patient who is currently undergoing treatment on mild Dementia went missing on Monday, February 28.
PLATFORMTIMES gathered that the patient went missing after her son who was taking care of her went to the pharmacy section of the hospital to get drugs prescribed for the patient.
On his arrival to the ward, the patient’s son could not find his mother again, calling for help from concerned stakeholders.
The patient’s son who did not mention his name took to social media as he filmed himself, narrating how the incident occurred with tears.
He accused psychiatrists in the hospital of neglecting their duties, claiming neglect of the psychiatrist’s duty made his mother disappeared from the ward.
He appealed to Nigerians to contact him either through his twitter account or his phone number (08134692859) If his mother was found anywhere.
However, PLATFORMTIMES gathered that the missing mentally challenged patient have been found and taken to R-Jolad hospital for proper treatment.
Isioma was found on Tuesday in the premisses of Just Rite Supermarket in Bariga, Lagos.
His son however expressed appreciation to Nigerians for sympathizing with him over the condition of his mother.
