A strong indication has emerged that the president ,Muhammadu Buhari might have sacked the CECPC under the leadership of Gov. Mai Mala Buni with immediate effect.
Buhari has also directed that Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Bello takes over as Sole Administrator of the party and to convene the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting with immediate effect within seven days .
He however warned that the March 26, 2022 date for the national convention remains sacrosanct.
PLATFORM TIMES exclusively gathered that Bello has taken over the ruling All Progressives Congress as ‘sole administrator’ following the sack of Mai Mala Buni as chairman of the caretaker committee.
PLATFORMTIMES gathered that Buni had left the country for a medical trip.
Sources confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari approved Buni’s sack and Bello’s appointment shortly before leaving the county to London Sunday afternoon.
