An aged man whose identity could not be ascertained reportedly fainted after he was attacked by kidnapers who abducted two siblings Esther Kehinde, 20, and David Kehinde, 15, in their house .
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday, at Oremeji street, Joga-Orile area in Yewa-North local government of Ogun state.
PLATFORM TIMES further t gathered that the two victims were abducted at their resident around 9:00pm while they were both washing the school uniform.
An eye witness whose house was behind the scene hinted that the gun-wielding kidnappers invaded the victim’s house as gentlemen, held the victims hand and forcefully took them away .
He disclosed that an attempt by the aged man to resist the gunmen failed as he was hit in the head which made him pass out .
Our correspondent however gathered that the kidnappers contacted the family of the children 12 hours after and requested for the sum of N15 million as ransom .
The eye witness said “they came into our house around 9:00pm, just behind our house where David and her sister were washing their uniform. Their grandpa too was seated there when the kidnappers appeared and held the two of them.
“The grandpa challenged them but one of them hit the man on the head and he passed out immediately. There mother heard the noice and rushed out but met the kidnappers stiff resistance.
“They shot in the air for few minutes before taking to their heels.”
When contacted on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying the police are on top of the matter.
He said “We would like to also use this medium to appeal to the family of the victims to please carry us along in any conversation with these hoodlums.”
