The management of Lobi Stars has parted ways with former international Eddy Dombraye as the technical adviser of the team.
The club’s Vice Chairman Tama Aondofa announced the dissolution of the Dombraye-led technical crew yesterday after their 1-2 home defeat to Abia Warriors in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 18 clash at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Odoh Valentine’s double sealed the victory for the visitors while Adams Olamilekan scored a consolation for the hosts.
Coach Eugene Agagbe has been named as interim Coach to be assisted by goalkeeper coach Sam Addingi.
Dombraye’s sack was as a result of club’s poor run of results in the NPFL. The Benue-based outfit are currently languishing in 17th place on the table with 19 points from 18 matches played so far.
Following yesterday’s defeat against Abia Warriors, the Benue-based side has lost three consecutive matches in the NPFL.
Before their last result which was a 1-0 loss at Wikki Tourists in Bauchi, Lobi Stars were beaten 1-0 by Plateau United in the north-central derby decided at the Aper Aku stadium Makurdi.
Dombraye, who was appointed at the beginning of the season, replaced Coach Kabiru Dogo who left to join Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
