Loyalists of Lagos State governor , Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu have pushed reports of their choice governor claiming that his second term has been endorsed by the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that reports indicating that Tinubu has endorsed Sanwo-Olu’s second term surfaced on the social media platforms backing it with pictures of the governor and Tinubu where the latter raised his two fingers of his two hands while talking with Sanwo-Olu.
It was gathered that there has been apprehension over Sanwo-Olu’s second term with many not sure if he will get the ticket. Lots of consultations are being done underground to ensure the governor gets a second term.
On Sunday, at the novelty football match in honour of Tinubu at 70, the former governor was seen with two fingers in both his hands raised which was interpreted as endorsing Sanwo-Olu’s second term .
The picture showed that the duo were ostensibly elated, especially Sanwo-Olu who has been championing the presidential ambition of Tinubu.
Moreover, lots of consultations had been to woo members of the Governors’ Advisory Council, in Lagos to get Sanwo-Olu the ticket.
The governor is seen as not being over-ambitious like his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode who was kicked out from having a second term ticket.
