A suspected member of an armed robbery gang , Moruf Abiodun on Monday, confessed he got contacts of the members of his new group while he was in prison.

The suspect told PLATFORM TIMES that he got the links of his new group members now at large in the prison while serving two years imprisonment for stealing.
He narrated that those he associated with during his imprisonment gave him contacts of armed robbers while they discuss what to do after his release.
He said he contacted his partner in crime immediately he got out of the prison and they began to work which led to his second arrest.
He said, “I got links to my gang from the prison when I was sentenced to two years imprisonment for stealing a motorcycle.
“While thinking of what to embark on after my release from the prison, some members of the group I mingled with in the prison gave me the contacts of these people in my new group.”
The suspect, however, confessed being an armed robber, adding that he was the driver of his armed robbery gang of five.
He said, “I was arrested on the 12th of March for armed robbery. I got arrested after six month of my release from the prison.
“To say the truth I am an armed robber. I am the driver of my group of five and was the only one arrested from my group.
“I engaged in robbery just to live. The gun they got from my house belongs to one of my crew members, who is in Lagos.
“I have links to many robbers. Armed robbers that terrorize Ogun state are not from Ogun state, they come from Lagos but they are Ogun indigenes. They are wanted criminals that the police have been in search of for a long time now.”
