The Federal Medical Centre has commissioned a bakery and confectionary plant at it’s premises situated at Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, the state capital.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the special bread produced with ingredients including soya beans flour and milk is to improve continous proteins and vitamin enrichment.
It was further gathered that the plant is also producing bread, sardine bread and wheat bread for diabetes patients and for weight loss
However, the hospital Medical Director, Professor Adewale Musa-Olomu who commissioned the bakery promised that the hospital will also establish block industries, cafe center and bottle water factory alongside a food canteen
Musa-Olomu added that the Medical Center intends to go paperless through computerisation of its systems in other to address challenges in the administration of the hospital
He said more computers will be purchased when the budget of the center for the year is releasedll
