A Customary court, sitting in Agbeloba, Abeokuta Ogun state capital, on Wednesday, ordered a final quit notice to a tenant who refused to show up in court.
The tenant, Identified as Shoneye Odusina rented an apartment from Akanni Akinsanya in an area of Abeokuta.
PLATFORMTIMES gathered that, after several adjournments, Odusina was granted trial but failed to show up in court.
However, Akanni who approached the court, claimed that his tenant had owed him a one year house rent and also refused to vacate the apartment.
The president in his judgement, ordered that the tenant should vacate the apartment on or before 30th of April 2022.
He said, ” the defendant must vacate the apartment he occupies on or before 30th of April 2022 as this serves as the final quit notice”.
The president concluded that any violation of the court order should be reported to the nearest police station for necessary action.
