Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun state command has declared a total war against hoodlums, miscreants, vandals and perpetrators of crimes in the state.
The state Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Dyke Ogbonnaya disclosed this in a press statement he issued on Friday in Abeokuta, Ogun state in commemoration with the forthcoming Easter celebration.
The statement reads in part, “with the recent cult clashes experienced in Ogun state last week, the command would be teaming up with other agencies to curb any reprisal from all quarters in the state.
“The command would deploy massively it’s intelligent and tactical teams to contain these anomalies alongside other security agencies before, during and after the celebrations.
“The Corps Counter-Terrorist Unit, Special Female Sqaud, Rapid Response Squad, the Armed Squad Unit, the Agro-Rangers Team and the newly constituted Operations Mesa in the State would join forces to make the celebration a hitch-free one.”
He further stated that, the command would be all out before, during and after the festive seasons so as to ensure a peaceful celebration is maintained and achieved.
“The command would be all out before, during and after the festive seasons especially at all highly populated centres: markets, critical national assets, correctional centres, worship centres, schools, institutions of higher learnings, hospitals, and a host of other public places across the State to ensure a peaceful celebration is maintained and achieved.”
Ogbonnaya however, warned all personnels of the Corps against any unworthy act, as such reports would be decisively handled and whoever is involved would be severely dealt with.
According to him, Corps in Ogun State, is not ready to have a bad report from any side in this season of resurrection and newness.
He therefore ladvised all residents to celebrate with all sense of moderation
He further advised that residents should take security very important and also report any happening promptly to any nearby security agency for immediate action.
Concluding his statement, he however, wishes the state especially His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) a successful Easter Celebration.
He also extend his wishes towards all Muslim brothers and sisters, wishing them a successful Ramadan Season.
