A 20-year-old lady identified as Ugochi Nworie has allegedly been gang raped to death in a popular Hotel in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the victim arrived the Hotel in company of a group of young men late in the night for lodging.
Sources familiar with the incident explained that the Lady was however found dead in the Hotel room after the door was forcefully opened in the day time with her legs, hands and mouth tied up.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Loveth Odah confirmed the murder.
She noted that efforts were on top gear to track the perpetrators who left the Hotel room unnoticed after committing the crime.
Used condoms suggestive of gang rape were recovered from the scene.
