A Dutch, Yohanna Maigona has declared interest to run for governor in Plataeu state in the coming election.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Maigona’s real.name is Wiebe Boer and was born in Jos .
PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that he had his secondary school in Jos and started speaking Hausa before English.
Further findings showed that Maihona had not become a citizen of Nigeria as of April 2022.
It was also gathered that Boer applied to be a Nigerian citizen but did not meet all the requirements.
He has Dutch and Canadian citizenship through his father, Jan Harm (John), whose family emigrated to Canada in the 1950s. And he has U.S. citizenship through his mother, Frances Ann (Fran), whose family emigrated to the United States in the 1940s.
PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that John and Fran taught their children Hausa, rather than Dutch.
Boer’s parents now live in Vancouver, BC.
