Governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has appealed to the members of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogun State to support his presidential ambition comes 2023 election.
Wike said he has the strong will to serve Nigeria and should be given a chance.
Wike said this on Saturday while speaking with the leaders and delegates of the party at the Party’s Secretariat in Abeokuta, the state capital.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that Wike was accompanied by governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde and former governors of Gombe, Ekiti and Cross Rivers states, Ibrahim Dankwanbo, Ayodele Fayose and Donald Duke respectively.
He said, “What we are saying today is who can face APC; who can win election for PDP? I have done it before in Rivers and I will do it again.
“I have too much energy, I want to work for Nigeria. Give me that opportunity to work for Nigeria. And that is why I have come here. If you give me that ticket on the 28th, 29th, go home and sleep, APC know they are in trouble. I will face them squarely. I have whatever it takes to win election for PDP. Don’t waste your time for all the theories.”
PLATFORM TIMES recalls that the Rivers governor Wike was one among the PDP aspirants hoping to clinch the Party’s ticket to contest the presidency.
