Residents of Ita-oshin and Oke-Ata in the Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State have cried out that they pay for unused electricity.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered this in an interview with the residents of the area .
The residents complained that the power supply has been interrupted for more than two months while they still pay electricity bills.
One of the residents, Ojuolape Fauziyyah said: “I have been living here for eight years and the light has not been good but now, it is worst. We have not had light in two months now but they brought it for two minutes yesterday and we still pay NEPA bill.”
“There is nothing good here. The roads are bad, there is no water and especially electricity. For more than two months now, there is no light but we are coping.”
Another resident, said, “Some of us have prepaid meters but those that did not have have to pay monthly, still, there is no light and there is nothing we can do. This is our country and we can only pray.”
