The People’s Democratic Party deputy governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adekunle Akinlade has explained why he joined the party ahead of the 2023 election.
Akinlade on Thursday, said he joined the PDP to rescue the State.
Akinlade is running as Deputy to Ladi Adebutu, the PDP Ogun State flag bearer.
He disclosed this while addressing the Coalition of Media Giants and socials stakeholders on Ogun Project led by Hon. Kehinde Soaga.
Akinlade said since 2019, ‘there has been no feeling of governance in the State.’
He said, “Ogun State is a dynamic State. It needs upwards and mobile government that will directly touch the Lifes of the people, that’s why I’ve joined the Ladi Adebutu Team to deliver Ogun from these shenanigans. Our people are in discomfort. PDP will take over.”
Akinlade further said his personal project was to rescue the State from the All Progressives Congress-led government ‘lack of direction’ governance.
