Twenty-four hours after the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu visited former
president Olusegun Obasanjo in his penthouse in Abeokuta, the former president has broken his silence.
Obasanjo who kept mum after his meeting with Tinubu, however, broke his silence on what transpired between him and his former political foe.
Media including PLATFORM TIMES had reported the visit of Tinubu and other leaders of the party including former national chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, two former Governors of Ogun state, Segun Osoba and Gbenga Daniel and the incumbent governor, Dapo Abiodun who held a closed door meeting with Obasanjo for three hours.
PLATFORM TIMES however gathered that it was deliberate that neither Tinubu nor Obasanjo addressed the media after the closed door meeting which was described as frank.
But, twenty-four hours after, former president gave a hint on part of what transpired between him and the APC candidate.
Obasanjo spoke in Abeokuta during the inauguration of central planning committee of the installation of Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola, saying, he confronted Tinubu on the new vocabularies ‘Emilokan and O ti lule’.
According to Obasanjo, when he confronted Tinubu with the two Yoruba words, the APC candidate could not stomach his laughter.
He said “We have two vocabularies in the Yoruba dictionary, the “Emilokan” and “Olule”.
“These two vocabularies are now popularly used.
“I asked Bola and he laughed. I said whether the vocabularies are good or bad , we have started using them.”
