Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has come under several criticism after he shared a seven-second video he was engaging in an exercise on a fitness bicycle.
Some Nigerians have complained that the health status of the APC presidential candidate would not make him fit for the presidential seat.
Tinubu left Lagos for the UK on September 24. His campaign team said he went for the UK to get some rest before the commencement of the campaign.
In another response, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yaqubu Ajaka said he travelled to London for consultation on his presidential ambition.
Tinubu in a video he shared on his Twitter handle from the UK on Sunday around 7:49 PM stated that he is healthy and ready for the presidential race.
In the video, Tinubu was seen cycling on the fitness bicycle with a hip-hop song, organised by Asake.
The video has generated several comments from internet users and political analysts generating over 910k views and over 18.6k comments.
A Twitter user, Jeff (@4GOODGEOFF), wrote: “Someone that’s truly working out will have the bike plugged in for stats. Wire still unwound as fresh from box and it’s not Plugged into Electric 😂😂😂😂 Mr Amoda nice one keep deceiving yourself.”
Also, Thĕo Abu (@TheoAbuAgada) argued, “This is forced Asiwaju. Be careful. Don’t go and injure yourself. You need to go and rest. I won’t vote for you.”
Another user, Daniel Rehga (@DanielRegha) said, “Tinubu, Nigerians have seen you walk on many occasions, you riding an exercise bike doesn’t change the fact that u have medical !ssues. Your team is putting a lot of effort into your PR but at the end of the day, noth!ng change; The APC is a fai!ure, & you are unf!t to run for presidency.”
Sakanell!(@Sakanel) wrote, “Do you have any evidence of this medical isssues that you claim he has or it’s merely just propaganda?”
