The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial candidate in Ogun Central, Chief Olumide Aderinokun on Wednesday promised butchers and residents in Ogun Central Senatorial District to help put an end to economic hardship.
Chief Aderinokun pledged to ensure that market women and men benefit from policies that will bring ease of doing businesses in the district.
He made the vow during an interactive session with the leadership of the association of plank sellers and association of butchers in Ogun Central.
Chief Aderinokun attested to the daily struggles of artisans and he promised to bring relief with empowerment programmes.
The Akinruyiwa of Owu Kingdom maintained that empowerment remains a key part of his plans for the people and he will continue from where his not-for-profit foundation has started.
“I understand the hardship you go through to meet demands in the market not to even talk of diminishing return after doing business,” Chief Aderinokun said.
“We have suffered enough in Ogun State and Nigeria, let’s wake up to rescue the future of our children. One of the legacies we can leave for them is through the decision we make with our individual votes.
“I am ready to deliver because I have endured this hardship with you and we must rise up to take charge.”
The meeting ended with the leadership of plank sellers and butchers in Ogun Central Senatorial District endorsing and pledging their support for Chief Olumide Aderinokun and the PDP candidates in the Senatorial District.
In attendance were chairmen of abbatoirs in Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta South, Odeda and Ewekoro Local Government Areas.
