A Customary Court sitting in Agbeloba, Abeokuta, Ogun State has ordered final quti notice to a tenant who refused to vacate a rented apartment.
The tenant, Nike Abosede rented an apartment from Anthony Famuyiwa at Kemta, Oke Bode, Abeokuta.
The Fomuyiwa noted that the defendant rented a room and parlour at 5,000 per month, amounting to N60,000 per annum.
He noted that the defendant’s rent expired in April 2022, thereby owing from May, 2022 till date.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the defendant has been issued both statutory and mandatory suit notices as required by law but she has refused to vacate the said apartment.
The plaintiff seeks the order of the court for the ejection and possession of the said apartment with the keys before final exit on grounds of nonchalant attitude towards rent, abusing the landlord, renovation and personal use.
Delivering judgement, the president, Hon. M.A Mabinuot said, “The defendant is given up till 1st of December, 2022 to vacate the room and parlour.”
