An Ogun State Customary Court Sitting in Agbeloba, Abeokuta has dissolved a 3-year-old marriage between Samuel Balogun and Abisola Balogun over lack of love.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the marriage was blessed with a 2-year-old child.
The marriage was dissolved following Samuel’s prayer to the court for divorce.
The husband, a resident of Adigbe, Abeokuta, had approached the court, alleging that his wife is troublesome and there is no love between them anymore.
Samuel prayed the court to put an end to the relationship between him and his estranged wife over frequent fighting.
PLATFORM TIMES had earlier reported that the court had sent both parties to their family and friends for amicable settlement, but they returned to the court, saying there was no settlement.
In her judgement, the president, M.A Mabinuori said, “From all indications, two of them are fed up with each other. Since both of them agreed on the separation. There is no more love between them and to avoid bloodshed, the court has no option than to separate them. Today, the court dissolves the three -year-old friendship.
“Parties are free from today, to marry anybody of their choice, the only child of the friendship is given to the defendant for more motherly care .
“Plaintiff promised to be paying N7,000 per month for the feeding of the child and it should be paid to the court registry on or before 5th of every month.
“Plaintiff is given free access to the child but under a peaceful atmosphere.
Defendant is restrained from going to the plaintiff’s house to cause trouble.
“Schooling and all other welfare matters are joint responsibility. Any violation of this order is to be reported to the police for further action.
“You are both warned to keep peace always”
