An Ogun State Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo Area of Abeokuta on Monday, sentenced a 40 year-old man, Adetokun Sikiru to six months Imprisonment for stealing of electric wires and one fuss box.
The convict was arraigned on two count of felony and stealing.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the crime was committed on Nov. 1, 2022 by 9am at Royale Estate Olomore of Abeokuta Magisterial District.
The charges read in part, “That you Adetokun Sikiru did unlawfully enter the dwelling house of one Owolabi Azeez with the intent to commit felony therein and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 412 of the criminal code laws of Ogun state of Nigeria 2006.
“That you Adetokun Sikiru on the same date, time and date in the aforementioned Magisterial District did steal some electric wires and one electric fuss box valued at N10,000 of one Owolabi Azeez thereby, committed an offence contrary to section 383 of the criminal code and punishable under section 390 (9) of same law of Ogun state.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate sentenced him to six months imprisonment.
