An Ogun State Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta on Monday has ordered that two teenagers be remanded for alleged stealing.
The teenagers were arraigned for stealing .
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the Chief perpetrator, Obinna Sunday implicated his two other friends, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim.
The offence was committed on 24th November 2022 at about 2:00pm at Oke-Ado Brewery, Lafenwa, Abeokuta.
The charges levelled against them, read in parts, “That you Obinna Sunday, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim did conspire together to commit felony to wit house breaking and stealing and thereby committed an offense contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the Same code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.
“That you Obinna Sunday, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim on the same date, time and place did break into the dwelling house of one Reuben Simon with the intent to commit felony and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 411 of the same code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.
“That you Obinna Sunday, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim on the same date, time and place did steal (1) one L.G Plasma TV valued N60,000 (2) One Stabilizer valued at N20,000 (3) One LG Amplifier valued N50,000 (4) One Clipper valued N15,000 (5) One LG Home Theatre valued N70,000 and (6) Cash of N46,000, total valued 261,000 (Two Hundred and Sixty One Thousand Naira) properties of one Reuben Simon and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 200 (9) of the same code laws of Ogun state of Nigeria 2006.
“That you Obinna Sunday, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim on the same date, time and place did steal the sum of N38,000 property of one Omoniyi Bosede and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 383 and punishable under section 390 (9) of criminal code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.
“That you Obinna Sunday, Osho Afeez and Idowu Teslim on the same date, time and place did steal the sum of N117,000 property of one Obasi Justice and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 383 and punishable under section 39 (9) of criminal code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.
The court has ordered each of to pay the sum of N100,000 each for bail .
The case was adjourned to December 17, 2022.
