- A native doctor in Enugu State, Odoh Emmanuel has been arrested by men of the state police command for shooting his client, Onunze Benedict to death while testing bullet proof charm he had done for him.
The tragic incident happened on November 16 in Umuaram Village, Isi-Uzo LGA of Enugu State.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident .
Ndukwe said “Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect confessed to having used a locally-fabricated single-barreled gun to shoot and murder the said victim in his shrine at the mentioned location, while testing the gunshot protection charm he had prepared for him.
“The gun has been recovered, while further investigation is ongoing at the Homicide Section of the State CID Enugu.”
According to him, the native doctor is one of the 17 suspects arrested for offences of conspiracy, murder, armed robbery, truck snatching, abduction and unlawful possession of firearm recently by the Police Command.
He added that two firearms, one live cartridge, three mock guns, a Sino Truck loaded with 789 bags of cement, mobile phones, ATM Cards, pieces of wrappers, clothes and other incriminating exhibits were recovered from the suspects.
