The president , Muhammadu Bubari has sacked the Managing Director of the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Aliyu Abdulhameed
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the removal of Abdulhameed might not be unconnected with multiple allegations of corruption including the N5.6billion wheat project.
PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had invited him and other officials of NIRSAL for questioning over their roles in the wheat project scandal.
Apart from the EFCC, the ICPC and the Police had also launched their investigations into the matter.
The MD was removed last Thursday afternoon following a directive from the Presidency and was escorted out of premises shortly after he briefly addressed staff.
