A nursing mother, Fatima Sahidu, has said she is here to win a gold medal, and that her motherhood won’t stop her from winning.
Fatima stated this at the ongoing National Sports Festival, held at Asaba, Delta state even as the scramble for medal get intensified.
According to her, ” motherhood won’t deter me from achieving my dream of leaving Asaba with golden medal”
“ I am fully prepared for this game and my target is to win gold, last time I got bronze, but my training has improved since the birth of my child”.
She admitted that it has been tough training and playing role as a nursing mother, just as she noted that her husband and teammates has been helpful taking care of the baby while compete.
