“We know this period is for special operations where we want to have proper security for all our citizens while fun seekers will be there, people that are traveling from one place to another to go and cruise are there, so it is additional job for us so, we want to protect all lives and properties, we want Nigerians to feel safe anywhere they are either on the highway, on the streets, in the communities and even on water.”
“This means we are going to launch another set of gunboats to fortify our waterways generally.”
The Force PRO advised members of the public to be security conscious, monitor things happening around them in the environment, while protecting themselves, their families and properties.
“This month is always capitalized with certain incidents, insecurities and the likes but we always advise people on the need to avoid night movement,
“So we want to appeal to Nigerians to please always cooperate with security operatives, we always have men at various point either at stop and search points or meetings points and those on patrol you need to respect them because respect is reciprocal, when they flag you need to stop, talk to them and engage them.”
