.. Parents approved marriage -Pastor
A 45-year-old pastor living in Saje, Abeokuta, Ogun state, caputal simply identified as Pastor Paul has landed into trouble after reportedly ‘married’ a 10-year-old girl .
The pastor was reported to have hypmotised the victim and got her impregnated twice which resulted to two children within two years .
PLATFORM TIMES which monitored a popular radio programme by a veteran broadcaster, Makinde Fasunle on Tuesday in Abeokuta reports that the victim simply identified as Ameenah accused the pastor of hypmotised her .
Speaking on her ordeal in the hand of the pastor , Ameenah said she did not know what came over her when she agreed to ‘marry a 45 year old man and gave birth to two children in 2019 and 2020.
She said ” I know it is not ordinary. The fist time the pastor wouid sleep with me was done in a violent way. He deflowered me by tying my hands to the chair and slept with me .
He impregnated me and I gave birth to two children in two years . I gave birth to first child in 2019 and I gave birth to my second child in 2020.”
When asked if the parents were aware of her predicament , Ameenah said she suspected that there is something secret between her mother and the pastor .
She said anytime she was abused and she told her mother, no action was ever taken against the pastor .
According to the victim, the pastor wil beat me before sleeping with me and when I tell my mother she will nit do anything .
She added ” My mother cannot challenge the pastor . I know it was not ordinary that my mother would no say and do anything to it.”
When she was asked what she wanted on her ordeal , the victim demanded that she wants justice .
In his defence , pastor Paul denied the allegation ,saying, she was lured by the girl and her parents to marry the victim.
The pastor said he had been relating with the mother for long .
He said that he had been facing a lot of challenges on his marital affairs .
He claimed that women have been breaking his heart and he was fed up of relationship .
Speaking on tbe relationship with the minor , the pastor said the girl told him she had a dream that she was his wife .
According to him, I was scared because of the her age . She was 19 years when she revealed the dream while I was 33 years then.
He said ” I cried when Ameenah told me that she had a dream that I am her husband .
” I first rejected the offer but, her parents encouraged me to take care of her .
“They allowed her to go to my house and I took care of her .
“The first time I would sleep with her, she begged me to do it so as to ward off her spiritual friends who were disturbing her.
“I did it but, it was not from my heart . She gave birth to two children for me.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state , SP Abimbola Oyeyemi who called in during the programme ,vowed to get the pastor punished .
Abimbola who invited the victim to the state headquarters of Police command and urged non governmental organisations to take over the matter of the victim who has produced two children .
