Mixed reactions have continued trailing the 2023 budget, tagged “Continued Development and Prosperity” running into N472,250,694,447.57.
While many lauded the governor on the budget which was passed and assented same day by the state house and assembly and governor of the state ,Dapo Abiodun respectively , others cautioned the governor on the implementation .
Abiodun had presented the budget on November 17,2022 and was passed December 29,2022, lauded the assembly for what he called their diligence .
Abiodun also described the budget
a reflection of the people’s priorities and preferences.
He had also said “as the executive arm pledge full and upright implementation of all items in the budget to sustain the widely lauded momentum of the “Building Our Future Together” agenda of our Administration.”
But, reacting , many Twitter users both condemned and commended the 2023 budget .
A user,Azeez Abiodun, said “I hope there will be a follow up of this.It should be well spent.”
Oluwole Moses said “your excellency Mr Governor if you happened to remain in power as the Governor of of our dear state, please let there be full implementation of the budget there is lot of opportunities in Ogun state but there is little or poor infrastructure.
” Development is quite slow as well.”
For Moyo, she said “Make this budget reach Ijebu because it just be like say we dey on our own for here.”
Olu Gbenga said “the ones to be stolen are much more than the one that will be used to develop the state. Guys se na lie I lie?”
A user identified as SOA of Ogun state , said “proflicating begins”
