He said “it is pertinent to work on modalities to improve the lives of the people and create means of alleviating their problems.
Chief Amuzu said he was shocked at the level of poverty, lack and deprivation of basic amenities that the people are facing.
According to him, “our people are going through a lot. To afford three square meals has become a tall dream. It is even harder for the aged, the physically challenged and women who have laboured so much to keep the country going”.
“Many people have relocated overseas. We don’t have another country, we have to stand up and rescue our nation or is it a curse to be a Nigerian? Amuzu asked.
“We must not make the mistake of electing those who are not passionate about uplifting the people and country. We travel out and we see how things are done to keep foreign system running. One wonders why those saddled with the responsibility of creating programmes and policies seat on our resources and refused to do the needful, he said.”
