Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) is set for its second praise concert with over 2,500 trumpeters from local and foreign gospel artists, including American worship leader, Bob Fitts.
At a news conference in Lagos, General Evangelist (Worldwide), Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, said the programme was designed by God to intervene in the elections among other issues in the country.
Tagged: “Lagos National Praise 2023”, the concert, holding at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos tomorrow, is to appreciate God for preserving the lives of Nigerians.
Oladeji said God loves Nigeria and is interested in its affairs. “Nigeria needs God at this time. We are like the proverbial cow without a tail, but God chases away flies and other parasites for us”
He urged Nigerians not to entertain fear over the elections, hoping God would turn every threat in the country into testimony.
“God owns Nigeria. I want to urge the electorate not to sell their votes. More importantly, candidates who lose should accept their fate. Security agencies must play by the rules.
“However, we must do away with idolatry and the Lord would return to us. Let’s all believe Him, and play our roles, He will direct our paths. Nigeria will be great again,” he said.
The prophet advised youths to shun violence during the election.
“Don’t sell your future for a plate of porridge. Don’t allow them to use you as a thug, if you are killed, politicians wouldn’t care, and they would also not come to the hospital to visit you.”
