Ttrailer on Wednesday night killed an official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) at the Kure Ultramodern market in Minna, Niger State.
The deceased was heading for the office when the trailer hit him and the driver ran away. Passers-by tried to help the victim to the nearest hospital but he died almost immediately.
Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kumar Tsukwam, who confirmed the accident, said the trailer driver has not been found since then and the vehicle’s registration number unknown.
He added that the body had been handed over to his relatives by officials of the NSCDC.
