A couple has been apprehended by Lagos state police for allegedly brutalizing two children of the same mother .
The couple identified as Akebiara Emmanuel and Busola Oyediran were arrested on Friday, for reportedly inflicting serious wounds on the children who are 5 and 2 years old.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the couple were reported to the police by their neighbours who lamented the incessant physical abuse of the minors by their biological mother and her partner.
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the couple was currently in detention and will be arraigned in court by Monday.
Hundeyin said the father of the children has been alerted.
