    2027: APC Governors adopt Tinubu as sole Presidential candidate

    Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole candidate of the party for the 2027 presidential election.

    Addressing the APC National summit at the Presidential Villa, Governor Hope Uzodima of Imo State and the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, said the governors have agreed that the President is the sole Presidential candidate for the party.

    The motion for the endorsement was moved by Uzodima and seconded by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State .

    Afterwards, Governor also put the put the question to the gathering which was unanimously taken by a yes vote.

    Although Tinubu is in the middle of his first term, discussions about reelection have dominated the polity.
