Twenty-three years after, a Kano Upper Shari’a Court has acquitted a man charged with manslaughter after it discovered that the charges put against him are not in order.

Sabi’u Aliyu Unguwa Uku was arraigned before the court sitting in RijiyarLemo in 2002 with a charge of manslaughter after he crushed a cyclist, Ibrahim Wada Musa. He was however granted bail.

The case was stalled after the court was burnt down during a civil disorder in the city until this time when the charges werebrought up again.

In his ruling, Khadi Aliyu Jibrin Danzaki, answered the prayers and discharged the accused.
