The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, has commended the Boiling Point Arena platform for its dedication to fostering good governance and progress in Nigeria through its consistent monthly interview sessions, marking two years of impactful discourse.
In a congratulatory letter personally signed by the monarch and addressed to the Founder and Convener of Boiling Point Arena, Dr. Ayo Arowojolu, Oba Matemilola expressed admiration for the platform’s role in promoting meaningful dialogue aimed at addressing Nigeria’s governance and economic challenges.
The letter was sent ahead of the 2nd anniversary of the Boiling Point Arena, which will celebrate its 24th edition on Sunday, October 13, 2024, since its debut in November 2022.
Oba Matemilola, who serves as Chairman of the Boiling Point Council of Royals and Elders—a body consisting of over 300 eminent Nigerians from various fields—praised the platform for bringing together some of the nation’s brightest minds to tackle pressing issues.
He acknowledged the importance of such dialogues in advancing the nation’s development and charting a path forward.
The monarch’s letter, dated October 10, 2024, reads in part: “It is with great admiration and deep respect that I congratulate you on achieving two years of continuous, thoughtful discourse through the Boiling Point Arena.
In just two short years, this platform has established itself as a vital space for engaging in the kind of dialogue that pushes our nation forward.”
Oba Matemilola lauded the Boiling Point Arena for gathering a diverse array of experts—including professors, technocrats, industry leaders, and media professionals—who are committed to addressing Nigeria’s governance and economic challenges.
He further praised the platform for fostering open, inclusive conversations and contributing to nation-building efforts during a critical time for Nigeria.
“To Dr. Arowojolu, the Organising Committee, and every individual who has made this initiative a success, I commend you for your unwavering dedication to the future of Nigeria,” the monarch added.
“May the Boiling Point Arena continue to serve as a beacon for progress and good governance, lighting the way for many more milestones to come.”
