Ibadan residents storm govt secretariat over demolition of houses [PHOTOS)

Hundreds of residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have stormed the State Secretariat located at Agodi to protest the demolition of their houses.

DAILY POST reports that many houses have been demolished as a result of the ongoing construction of the Ibadan circular road.

Our correspondent learnt that scores of residents were stranded when the government began the demolition of the houses.

DAILY POST reports that hundreds of the affected house owners are currently at the Secretariat to protest against the demolition.

Brandishing various placards, the protesters demanded stoppage of the ongoing demolition of their houses.



Some of the residents advised the state government to halt the demolition.
