    BREAKING: Edo Guber: PDP wins four out of six announced results

    The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won four of six Local Government Area results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the Edo State governorship election.

    The results were announced by the Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.

    The results showed that PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo won Esan South East LGA with 14,199 votes, Ovia North East LGA (15,311 votes), Uhunmwonde LGA (9,339 votes) and Igueben LGA (5907 votes).

    The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Monday Okpebholo won Esan West and Owan West local government areas with 12,952 and 12,277 votes, respectively.

    According to the results uploaded so far the battle for the governorship race has been narrowed down to between All Progressives Party, Monday Okpebholo and his rival at Peoples Democracy Party, Asue Ighodalo.
