The popular agriculture-focused initiative, Kebi Ma Palu, has announced the commencement of a monthly practical training program aimed at empowering crop and livestock farmers in Ogun State.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that the  first session, slated for October 4, 2024, will focus on profitable rabbit rearing, with a theme titled, “A-Z of Profitable Rabbit Rearing.”

Kebi Ma Palu, known for its significant radio and social media following, is a program dedicated to educating its audience about the benefits of agriculture, encouraging both young and old Nigerians to embrace it as a means of livelihood.

The initiative, organized by Inside Ogun Magazine, a prominent online platform, is designed to provide hands-on training and equip participants with the knowledge to thrive in agriculture.

As part of its agenda to promote practical agriculture, Kebi Ma Palu has rolled out plans for this maiden edition, which will feature a day-long session on rabbit farming.

The training, which targets residents of Abeokuta and its environs, is expected to provide participants with the skills needed to run profitable agricultural ventures.

Organizers have confirmed that the training will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 2 p.m.

In a statement, the initiative’s creator, Fisayomi Ajibola, explained that the program is designed to help Nigerians, both young and old, become financially independent through agriculture.

With the nation’s ongoing economic challenges, Ajibola highlighted agriculture as a sustainable and reliable sector, providing a means for Nigerians to secure their livelihoods.

“With the massive acceptance of our radio program and regular online classes, we have no choice but to organize a one-on-one practical training for our teeming followers.

This training is coming up at the right time as most Nigerians struggle under the weight of economic pressure,” Ajibola said.

He further emphasized the resilience of the agricultural sector, noting that while many other industries face economic instability, farming remains a dependable source of income.

“Despite the dwindling economy, agriculture is one sector that will always guarantee sustainable living. Be it crop or livestock farming, it’s the surest means of survival in this country as no one can do without eating,” he added.

The training is set to attract a participation fee of N10,000, with successful participants receiving certificates of completion. Those interested in attending the program are encouraged to register by calling 08079533493 or 08021129599.

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the Kebi Ma Palu program is positioned to help individuals not only learn practical farming techniques but also build sustainable, profitable businesses in the agricultural sector.
