Club Brugge captain, Hans Vanaken has lauded Raphael Onyedika for his exemplary display in the club’s win over Sturm Graz.
The Belgian Pro League champions defeated Sturm Graz 1-0 in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
It was Club Brugge’s first win in the competition this season.
Onyedika set up Christof Tzolis for the winning goal late in the game.
“What a goal. Fine control, great assist too by Onyedika, and then neatly tucked in by Tzolis,” he told the club’s official website.
“We had so much possession. We had another excellent opportunity through Jutglà, that really should have gone in, but it didn’t. It would have made it much easier on us.”
Onyedika was recently named Club Brugge’s Player of the Month for September.
