    Kidnaping: Kebbi Govt sympathises with people of Kanya, assures to rescue District Head, others

    The Kebbi State Government has expressed serious concerned over the abduction of the District Head of Kanya, Alhji Aliyu Isah Kanya in Danko Wasagu Local Government Areas.

    The District Head was kidnapped by suspected bandits alongside nine others.

    Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor in a statement on Monday said that the state governor, Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu made the pledge in Birnin Kebbi while reacting to the development which he described as unfortunate.

    “The governor said he was highly disturbed on receiving the news of the abduction but assured that government in collaboration with security agencies were doing everything possible to rescue the district head and other abducted people,” the statement explained.




    The governor, according to the statement said that he want to use the medium to assure to the family of the district head and other abducted persons that In Sha Allah all the kidnapped persons will be rescued.

    The governor also appealed to the people of the area to support the efforts of security agencies by assisting them with credible intelligence that will aid them to achieve the mission.

    He said, “In Sha Allah, we will not rest until these people are rescued unhurt and reunited with their respective families.”
